Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of M3XI’s mobile applications (including Cornelia) and the M3XI website (collectively, the “Platform”), operated by M3XI (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, you must not use the Platform.

1. The Platform

Cornelia helps you record lectures, transcribe speech, and organise notes. We provide tooling and services — we do not guarantee any particular study or academic outcome.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering binding agreements and meet the minimum age for your region and the relevant app store. By using the Platform, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts and subscriptions

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. Some features may require a subscription or unlock fee. You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.

3.1 Payments and refunds

  • All payments are final unless otherwise required by applicable law.
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 72 hours of the initial purchase.
  • No refunds will be issued after the 72-hour window.

4. Your content & IP

4.1 What you retain

You retain ownership of your recordings, transcripts, notes, images, and other materials you submit, subject to the licence below.

4.2 Licence to M3XI

To operate sync, transcription, backups, safety, and product improvement within the Platform, you grant M3XI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process (including automated and AI-assisted processing), display, transmit, and create incidental copies of your content. You confirm you have the rights to grant this licence.

4.3 Third-party rights

Do not upload content that infringes others’ IP or privacy rights. We may remove infringing or unlawful content.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Posting fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive content.
  • Impersonating individuals or entities.
  • Using the Platform for illegal activities.

6. AI disclaimer

Transcription and AI-assisted notes are informational and approximate. They are not professional advice—always confirm material decisions independently. Accuracy may vary across languages or accents.

7. Limitation of liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.
  • We are not liable for loss of profits, opportunities, data, or reputation.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to the Platform in the preceding 12 months.

8. Suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts without notice for violations of these Terms or applicable laws. We may also remove content that violates these Terms.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless M3XI, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified via the app or email.

13. CallMe — additional terms

These apply to CallMe in addition to the terms above. Where they conflict, these apply to your use of CallMe.

13.1 Eligibility and verification

CallMe is for adults aged 18 or over. You must complete identity verification — an ID document, a liveness selfie and a face match — before using any calling feature. You must not create an account for anyone else, use another person's identity document, or attempt to defeat the verification check. Doing so terminates your account permanently.

13.2 How CallMe works

CallMe matches you with another verified adult for a live voice call. Free accounts get a limited number of calls each day; you can earn more by watching a rewarded advert, or remove the limit with Premium. We do not guarantee that you will be matched, that anyone will connect with you, or any particular outcome from a call.

13.3 Conduct on calls

You must not, on a call or anywhere in the app:

  • harass, threaten, degrade or sexually harass another person;
  • expose yourself, or show sexual, violent or otherwise explicit content on video;
  • solicit money, gifts, investments or personal financial details;
  • record, screenshot or redistribute a call or another person's images without their consent;
  • misrepresent your age or identity;
  • promote, arrange or facilitate anything illegal;
  • contact someone who has blocked you, or create a new account to evade a block or ban.

Video is mutual opt-in. Pressuring someone to enable video is a breach of these terms.

13.4 Reporting and enforcement

You can block, mute or report anyone, during or after a call. We review reports and may warn, suspend or permanently ban an account, remove content, or refer a matter to the police. We may act on a single serious report without prior warning. Where a ban is applied, the associated records are retained in order to enforce it.

13.5 Your content on CallMe

You keep ownership of your photographs, MeCards and profile text. You grant M3XI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and transmit that content to other users in order to operate the service, including automated safety scanning. You confirm you own or have the right to share everything you upload, including any image of another person.

13.6 Premium

Premium is a recurring subscription billed by Apple or Google and renews until cancelled. Cancel through your App Store or Google Play account; cancelling stops future renewals and does not refund the current period. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, which takes precedence over clause 3.1 above for CallMe purchases.

13.7 Safety

Verification confirms that a person is a real, unique adult. It is not a background check and does not make anyone safe. Take the usual precautions: do not share financial details or your home address, be careful about revealing where you live or work, and meet in public if you choose to meet at all. You are responsible for your own decisions about who you speak to and what you share.
