CallMe
Deleting your CallMe account
In the app (fastest)
- Open CallMe and go to Settings (the gear, top right of the home screen).
- Scroll to Delete account & data.
- Confirm. Your account is closed immediately.
Without the app
Email support@m3xi.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my CallMe account”. Sending it from your registered address is how we confirm it is really you — if you cannot, tell us and we will verify another way. We action every request within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your profile — name, age, city, bio, gender, orientation, ethnicity, interests, occupation and education
- Your MeCards, including every photo you uploaded
- Your matching preferences
- Your match and call history, and your connections
- Your identity verification record
- Your wallet and subscription record held by us
What we keep, and why
- Safety records — bans, blocks and reports made about your account. These are kept so that a removed account cannot simply be recreated, and so we can still act on a report made by someone else. They are held for up to 24 months.
- Records we are legally required to retain, such as purchase records needed for tax and accounting.
Everything else is erased or irreversibly anonymised within 30 days.
Deleting some of your data, without closing your account
You do not have to delete everything to delete something. In the app you can, at any time and without losing your account:
- remove an individual photo from a MeCard, or delete a whole MeCard;
- clear your bio, occupation, education, orientation or ethnicity — every one of those fields is optional and can be emptied;
- clear your ethnicity matching preference, which stops it being used immediately;
- turn off location, which stops distance being used to match you.
For anything you cannot remove yourself — a specific photo you have lost access to, your identity verification record, or your call history — email support@m3xi.com and say what you want removed. We will do it and confirm, and your account stays open.
Two things worth knowing
- Your subscription is separate. Deleting your account does not cancel Premium — that is billed by Apple or Google. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account, or it will keep renewing.
- Your ID documents were never ours to delete. Verification is carried out by Didit; document images and selfies go to them and never reach our servers. We only ever held the outcome, and that is deleted with your account.
