A TOUR FROM 360 PHOTOS

A standpoint is a spot a buyer can stand on and look around: one full 360 photo per standpoint, straight from the 360 camera's app. Photos must be complete 360 images — twice as wide as they are tall, at least 4096 px wide, and 8000 px or wider to stay sharp when a buyer looks closely.

How to shoot
  1. Shoot at the camera's largest photo size. A current 360 camera gives about 11000 px wide. Under 8000 px goes soft as soon as a buyer looks closely; under 4096 px is refused here. A phone photosphere is usually around 4000 px — a fallback when there is no camera, not the plan. Nothing later can put back detail the camera never recorded.
  2. Camera at eye height — about 1.5–1.6 m — and at the same height for every shot in a room. A tripod at knee height feels wrong to walk through.
  3. Two or three standpoints per room, 2–3 m apart, and one standing in each doorway: the doorway shots are what make one room flow into the next.
  4. Shoot the rooms people forget: bathroom, WC, utility, hallway, landing, stairs, garage, loft hatch, the garden and the front of the property.
  5. Daylight on, lights on, blinds open. Step out of the shot or stand directly under the camera.
  6. Export the stitched 360 image from the camera's app, then add it here.

ROOMS & STANDPOINTS

Add a room, then add its 360 photos — one per standpoint. Drag a thumbnail to look around it. Photos upload in the background while you carry on.

Add the floorplan off the listing. Then tap a standpoint, and tap where it is on the plan. Buyers get the plan beside the tour, and the arrows between standpoints come from these pins.

WHICH WAY IS WHICH

For each pinned standpoint, turn the photo until you are facing a neighbouring standpoint and tap “That way”. That lines the photo up with the plan so the arrows point the right way.
